About the role
- Lead a team of product managers responsible for defining and implementing the chemical strategy
- Provide pricing leadership and facilitate commercial operations accountability
- Develop and maintain an effective go to market strategy
- Work cross functionally with various departments in support of lifecycle management and new product introduction
- Develop and own the product roadmap for the chemical portfolio
- Drive innovation by identifying new product opportunities
- Develop pricing and packaging strategies that optimize product adoption
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and partners
- Define and track key performance metrics for products
- Partner with the operations and supply chain to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field preferred
- Advanced Degree preferred
- 10 years of experience in progressive product management in chemicals, life sciences, scientific instruments, or related industry
- Successful track record in product management and/or strategic marketing
- Proven ability to manage cost and drive organic growth through innovation and profit
- Ability to build, lead, and influence teams across a matrixed environment
- 5+ years of people leadership experience managing global teams
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed global organization
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive data-based decisions
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated success in developing teams
- Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (ISO, CE, FDA, etc.)
- Willingness to travel up to 25% nationally & internationally
- Strong project management capabilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency with financial modeling and business case development
