About the role
- Install, maintain and repair electronic and mechanical medical devices and provide customer training
- Ensure technically flawless and cost-effective execution of service work
- Coordinate and adhere to commissioning and service appointments (e.g., with site managers, project managers, sales, service back office and customers)
- Analyze faults and define corrective actions; hand over systems and equipment to customers and document the handover
- Advise customers on service and commissioning matters
- Investigate causes in warranty cases, determine the scope of damage/repair and forward a warranty recommendation for decision
- Plan and implement measures to ensure system availability in the event of faults within contractual timeframes and order/allocate spare parts
- Prepare system and equipment documentation and related records (e.g., checklists, statistics, fault logs)
- Advise customers regarding repair or replacement/new procurement
- Identify customer spare part and new procurement needs and pass information to sales
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a medical device/biomedical technician, electrical technician (or master electrician) or similar, with several years of professional experience, or equivalent qualification
- Practical experience in technical service desirable
- Confident demeanor, independent working style, self-organization with focus on the essentials, initiative and reliability
- Valid driving licence (Class B)
- High willingness to travel, mainly within the service region but also throughout Germany
- Good English skills; strong communication skills as a basis for customer retention
- IT skills (including software installations) and network knowledge are advantageous; solid MS Office skills desirable
- Qualification and training on instruments to perform electrical tests in accordance with currently applicable standards
