About the role

  • Responsible for setting strategic direction and driving execution across the Chemicals portfolio.
  • Provide overall leadership while holding direct responsibility for product management of the portfolio.
  • Lead a small team of Product Specialists and work cross-functionally with marketing, strategic partnerships, operations, and supply chain.
  • Integrate portfolio strategy with commercial excellence to expand market presence and deliver against financial and strategic targets.
  • Spend approximately 30% of time in the field.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in science, with domain expertise in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • Formal business qualifications preferred.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in portfolio leadership, product management or sales management/team leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory, research, bio-pharma or industrial markets
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with proven track record of developing successful teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, forecasting and achieving revenue targets
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (particularly Salesforce) and MS Office suite
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer and key stakeholder relationships
  • Business acumen with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Travel required up to 30%
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Track record of commercial success and continuous improvement
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to work effectively at all levels.
