About the role

  • Active identification and development of new business opportunities in Austria and Switzerland
  • Expansion of the existing customer base and systematic management of the installed base
  • Strategic development and management of a defined sales territory
  • Implementation of regional growth strategies in coordination with the Sales Manager DACH
  • Conducting customer meetings and negotiations at decision-maker level
  • Positioning our product and service portfolio with clear differentiation from competitors
  • Identifying new revenue opportunities through cross- and upselling
  • Independently managing pricing agreements, quotations and contract renewals
  • Developing and implementing proactive strategies to maximize revenue and customer retention
  • Structured maintenance of sales opportunities, forecasts and pipeline in the CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Ensuring compliance with internal pricing and approval processes
  • Responsibility for achieving defined revenue and growth targets
  • Close collaboration with field sales, product management, marketing and service
  • Coordination with technical specialists to ensure optimal solution positioning
  • Cooperation with Finance, Customer Service and Operations to ensure efficient order processing
  • Support with tenders and complex quotation processes

Requirements

  • Master’s degree plus at least 5 years of successful sales experience, ideally in the life-sciences or scientific environment
  • Solid understanding of life-science research workflows and applications
  • Several years of sales experience, ideally in the capital equipment or service sector
  • Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and confident use of Microsoft Office
  • German language skills at least at C1 level required; business-fluent English; additional languages an advantage
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (approx. 25%)
  • Strong customer- and results-orientation with a proven track record of meeting targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including when addressing complex technical topics
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Entrepreneurial mindset as well as an independent, structured and priority-driven working style
