About the role

  • Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and commissioning of assigned products
  • Accurate technical and organizational preparation and execution of assigned service visits, taking economic aspects into account
  • Documentation of service visits and escalation management in accordance with current Thermo Fisher guidelines
  • Technical and application support for customers
  • Support for the sale of our service offerings such as service contracts, qualifications and upgrades during or in preparation for service visits
  • Active collaboration with support teams and manufacturing sites
  • Maintenance of material inventory and measuring/test equipment
  • Assistance at trade shows and exhibitions
  • Operational collaboration with technical team leaders

Requirements

  • Vocational training or professional experience in a technical discipline (electronics, natural sciences or medical technology), or a degree in a related technical field
  • Relevant knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Interest in analytical systems and continuous work with new products and technologies
  • Strong analytical thinking
  • High team orientation and a positive demeanor
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Germany and, if required, within the EMEA region and worldwide for training
  • Language skills in German (at least B2) and English (at least B1), both written and spoken
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer contact and within Thermo Fisher's matrix structure
  • Good knowledge of relevant computer hardware and software
  • Valid driver's license for passenger vehicles
