About the role

  • Provide expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for sophisticated analytical and microscopy equipment.
  • Deliver outstanding technical support while building strong relationships with customers across research institutions, universities, and industrial facilities.
  • Resolve complex issues, conduct preventive maintenance, and train users to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Contribute to critical scientific research and innovation within the organization.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electro-mechanical engineering, Electrical or Mechanical engineering, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years practical experience in field service, installation, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating sophisticated analytical instruments.
  • Programming courses (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Working proficiency of Momentum software features and operations is a plus.
  • Ongoing technical training and certifications required
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for hardware and software issues
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to build positive customer relationships
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, networking, and standard business software
  • Demonstrated experience with automation, robots, and/or instrumentation.
  • Achieved System Hardware and Software Integrator skills.
  • Experience mentoring and training others preferred
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration
  • Availability to respond to urgent customer needs
  • Must follow all safety protocols and be able to work in cleanroom environments when required
