About the role
- Lead the charge in engaging existing qPCR, dPCR, and CE instrument users to drive consumables loyalty and recurring revenue growth.
- Craft and implement innovative account-level strategies to secure long-term usage of Thermo Fisher consumables and outperform the competition.
- Collaborate with country teams and channel partners to design and execute high-impact retention and growth programs.
- Identify and target high-potential competitor-installed accounts, executing structured conversion programs to significantly grow market share.
- Proactively engage local manufacturers to integrate Thermo Fisher consumables into locally developed kits/workflows, creating new and exciting routes to market.
- Work closely with applications and marketing teams to position our differentiated value proposition and drive sustainable demand in the Southeast Asian market.
- Generate and analyze end-user and competitor insights to inform pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies across Southeast Asia.
- Empower country teams and distributors with training, compelling value messaging, and competitive tools, ensuring strong cross-functional alignment with marketing, applications, service, and business development.
- Lead disciplined funnel, forecast, and performance management initiatives to support the delivery of ambitious regional growth targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MS or PhD in life sciences is preferred.
- 3+ years of commercial experience in the Genetic Sciences/Life Science market, with a proven track record of sales success in Southeast Asia.
- Deep knowledge of qPCR, dPCR, and/or CE workflows and customer applications in the genetic sciences field.
- Demonstrated expertise in identifying and developing sales leads, managing complex sales processes, and negotiating high-value contracts in the Southeast Asian market.
- Extensive experience working across multiple SEA markets and with channel partners is essential.
- Strong commercial acumen, competitive selling skills, and a passion for driving business growth in the genetic sciences sector.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in one or more Southeast Asian languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with SFDC systems and other modern sales tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% within the Southeast Asia region.
- Ability to embrace and leverage the diversity of cultures across Southeast Asia to drive business success.
