About the role

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets, ensuring strong market penetration and customer retention.
  • Oversee opportunity pipelines to ensure consistent deal flow and accurate forecasting aligned with business objectives.
  • Personally engage with key customers to identify unmet needs, propose innovative solutions, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, emerging competitors, and new technologies — integrating these insights into business planning and team enablement.
  • Partner with marketing, supplier management, and internal support teams to align commercial activities, pricing strategies, and operational execution.
  • Analyze team metrics, sales reports, and customer data to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure accountability for results.
  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific with integrity, professionalism, and enthusiasm at all customer interactions, trade events, and industry forums.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required, Masters Degree preferred
  • 8 years of proven sales experience in relevant scientific/healthcare industries
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years of sales management/team leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of laboratory, research, clinical or industrial markets
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with proven track record of developing successful teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, forecasting and achieving revenue targets
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (particularly Salesforce) and MS Office suite
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer and key stakeholder relationships
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and large accounts
  • Business acumen with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Travel required up to 50-75%
  • English language fluency required; additional language skills valued
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Track record of commercial success and continuous improvement
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to work effectively at all levels
