- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets, ensuring strong market penetration and customer retention.
- Oversee opportunity pipelines to ensure consistent deal flow and accurate forecasting aligned with business objectives.
- Personally engage with key customers to identify unmet needs, propose innovative solutions, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Stay ahead of market trends, emerging competitors, and new technologies — integrating these insights into business planning and team enablement.
- Partner with marketing, supplier management, and internal support teams to align commercial activities, pricing strategies, and operational execution.
- Analyze team metrics, sales reports, and customer data to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure accountability for results.
- Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific with integrity, professionalism, and enthusiasm at all customer interactions, trade events, and industry forums.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree required, Masters Degree preferred
- 8 years of proven sales experience in relevant scientific/healthcare industries
- Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Business Administration or related field
- 3+ years of sales management/team leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of laboratory, research, clinical or industrial markets
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with proven track record of developing successful teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, forecasting and achieving revenue targets
- Proficiency with CRM systems (particularly Salesforce) and MS Office suite
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer and key stakeholder relationships
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and large accounts
- Business acumen with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
- Travel required up to 50-75%
- English language fluency required; additional language skills valued
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
- Track record of commercial success and continuous improvement
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to work effectively at all levels
