Support the clinical market on the operation of Thermo Fisher Scientific/Ion Torrent Next-Generation Sequencing product portfolio with a focus on oncology.
Provide scientific application support & training to our clinical customers.
Lead the implementation of assays, products, and clinical solutions within customer sites.
Effectively own and resolve blocking issues from customers through in-depth troubleshooting.
Support sales in the achievement of regional sales targets by delivering product line-specific pre- and post-sales customer support activities.
Nurture ties with essential Thermo Fisher Scientific collaborating partners; develop and supervise relationships with pivotal decision-makers or potential influencers.
Requirements
MSc and/or PhD preferred (or equivalent experience in science) in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Life Sciences, or similar.
Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Sequencing technology is required.
Experience in communicating technical materials in written and verbal form.
Previous background in a support/training-related role is preferred.
Prior experience interacting with customers is preferred.
Strong communication and presenting skills.
Ability to effectively collaborate with and support people with varying levels of technical knowledge and expertise.
Display emotional intelligence to understand customer concerns.
Strong commercial attitude.
