Provide outstanding after-hours service to corporate business clients as a Travel Counselor for Amex GBT
Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers (individuals and groups)
Conduct analysis and research on travel options and proactively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
Arrange and book domestic and international business travel for air, road, rail, and accommodations
Use Amadeus Global Distribution System to make bookings
Ensure compliance with customers’ travel policies, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
Resolve customer issues quickly, independently or with suppliers
Collaborate within the team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels
Work in a 24/7 Traveler Care operation with night/afternoon shifts and weekend availability required
Requirements
Native GDS expertise (AMADEUS) — minimum two years experience
Professional communication in English (written and verbal) is a must
Spanish and other European languages considered a plus
Passion for excellence in client service and proactive anticipation of needs
Attention to detail
Act with integrity and protect personal traveler information
Strong understanding of the travel industry (business travel, leisure travel, or airline reservation background)
Experience resolving customer issues quickly and independently or with suppliers
Teamwork and openness to feedback
Flexible and prepared to work fixed afternoon shifts, nights and weekends
Use of Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS)
