About the role

  • Supports the organization by implementing and monitoring diversion of controlled substances across the health system
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to monitor, evaluate, and enhance controlled substance diversion programs
  • Supports the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to controlled substance management
  • Work collectively with operational leaders to ensure proper controlled substance diversion prevention processes are implemented and maintained
  • Monitor and audit controlled substance transactions, inventory records, and dispensing practices to identify potential diversion risks
  • Collaborate with departments to implement effective diversion prevention and effective controls for controlled substances

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing
  • 2 or more years experience in hospital nursing
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and automated dispensing systems
  • Knowledge of DEA regulations, controlled substance laws, and healthcare compliance standards
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing upon Hire
