About the role
- Supports the organization by implementing and monitoring diversion of controlled substances across the health system
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to monitor, evaluate, and enhance controlled substance diversion programs
- Supports the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to controlled substance management
- Work collectively with operational leaders to ensure proper controlled substance diversion prevention processes are implemented and maintained
- Monitor and audit controlled substance transactions, inventory records, and dispensing practices to identify potential diversion risks
- Collaborate with departments to implement effective diversion prevention and effective controls for controlled substances
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing
- 2 or more years experience in hospital nursing
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and automated dispensing systems
- Knowledge of DEA regulations, controlled substance laws, and healthcare compliance standards
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing upon Hire
