About the role
- Regional Sales Manager for African Travel, Inc. (ATI) are responsible for maximizing the sales potential within their designated territory by cultivating strong relationships with existing customers, driving brand awareness, and identifying new customer prospects.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, passenger (PAX), and profitability (EBITDA) targets.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key travel advisor accounts, consortia, and preferred partners. Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings to understand partner needs and present tailored solutions. Negotiate commercial terms to secure favorable agreements and grow market share.
- Deliver engaging training sessions, webinars, and product updates to travel advisors. Escort familiarization trips (FAMs) to increase advisor product knowledge and confidence in selling safaris. Ensure effective utilization of marketing collateral and digital tools across assigned accounts.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of sales activity, pipeline, and revenue forecasts. Provide regular sales reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Measure ROI on trade shows, consumer events, and other sales initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. Monitor client feedback and satisfaction scores, implementing actions to improve outcomes. Act as an escalation point for account service issues, resolving problems quickly to maintain trust.
Requirements
- 3+ years of sales and customer service experience preferred.
- 3+ years of travel industry experience preferred.
- 3+ years of territory sales experience preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Power Point), webinar tools, and Internet resources.
