About the role
- Identify and secure federal, state, and local funding (HUD, CDBG, HOME, LIHTC, and state revitalization programs)
- Prepare letters of intent, grant proposals, budgets, and narratives
- Manage the full grant lifecycle from submission through reporting and compliance
- Support low-income and affordable housing initiatives, including HUD and LIHTC projects
- Assist with feasibility analysis, funding structures, and regulatory documentation
- Serve as primary liaison with HUD, state housing agencies, municipalities, and economic development partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government and nonprofit stakeholders
- Collaborate with nonprofit partners on joint funding applications
- Track deadlines, reporting requirements, and multi-year grant obligations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Business, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in housing development, economic development, or government-funded programs
- Proven experience with HUD, LIHTC, CDBG, HOME, or similar funding sources
- Strong working knowledge of Maryland and Delaware state housing and economic development programs
- Excellent grant writing and stakeholder management skills
