About the role
- The IT M&A Program Manager is responsible for planning and executing merger and acquisition programs, managing over 10 projects with complex data migrations and integrations.
- Offer thought leadership, handling cross-program dependencies, challenges, and risks, and driving initiatives to completion within agreed timelines, budgets, and metrics.
- Set up structures to monitor deliverables, escalate issues, report on program health, and implement organizational change.
- Work with senior leadership on IT integration strategies that align with business goals.
- Lead the planning and execution of IT integration across various workstreams, managing timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
- Act as the main liaison between IT and other units, handling communications and expectations.
- Manage risks related to IT integration, including data security and compliance.
- Oversee cross-functional IT teams for a smooth integration.
- Track and report on IT integration progress and outcomes.
- Partner with Change Management Organization and Communication leads to ensure that impacts to people, process and technology are known and there is an organizational change plan to address.
- Identify ways to enhance systems and processes post-merger for maximum value.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- PMP and/or PgMP is preferred.
- 10+ years of IT-centric project and program management experience with a proven delivery track record.
- 10+ years managing vendors, project/program budget management, and reporting.
- Prior experience with complex migrations, system enhancements, and mergers/acquisitions is required.
- Experience managing M&A programs consisting of 10 or more projects.
- Expert in establishing strong relationships with leadership and fostering collaboration throughout the organization leveraging influence over authority.
- Excellent team player, able to work with virtual cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt, to be flexible, and to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Background in process architecture and analysis, systematic problem solving, business analysis, and organizational change management is preferred.
- Insurance or financial services background is preferred.
