About the role
- Provide program leadership and oversight for CENTAM-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with Census Bureau goals and objectives.
- Manage the full program lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Census Bureau leadership, IT teams, and external stakeholders to coordinate modernization activities and achieve program milestones.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and integration of IT solutions supporting demographic and economic data collection, processing, and dissemination.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, data security, and privacy requirements.
- Monitor program budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure efficient execution and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues impacting program delivery.
- Provide clear communication of program goals, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Program Manager within federal government programs, preferably with the U.S. Census Bureau.
- Direct experience supporting the Census Bureau Transformation Application Modernization (CENTAM) program strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IT modernization initiatives, systems integration, and program management best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex federal programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP certification strongly desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Familiarity with federal regulations, data security, and privacy requirements.
