About the role
- Drive new business through effective territory management, targeted prospecting and attendance at relevant events
- Maintain regular contact with current accounts to maximize repeat business
- Cultivate a culture of sales and service excellence and a drive for continuous improvement among the theatres in your assigned region
- Develop and deliver sales presentations at client meetings, tradeshows and industry events
- Negotiate and prepare proposals and contracts
- Work with clients on the planning of their events from inception to follow-up post event
- Build relationships and effectively communicate with clients and venue teams to ensure exceptional execution on client expectations
- Manage and maintain account information, contracts and sales reporting through CRM and other reporting tools with an emphasis on being accurate, thorough and current.
- Participate in sales and regional operations meetings
- Limited travel within Canada
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of sales and service experience in a B2B environment
- Previous hotel, theatre, convention or unique venue sales experience will be advantageous
- Previous Event Management experience preferred
- Post-secondary education required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Self-motivated and driven to deliver on targets
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to operate effectively in a busy multi-location environment
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities to tight timelines
- Exceptionally organized and detail oriented
- Superior negotiation and problem solving skills
