About the role
- Lead commercial strategy and proposal development, including scope review, pricing, and internal alignment
- Interface with clients during pre-contract phases to clarify technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with estimating, planning, engineering, and construction teams to deliver complete commercial packages
- Support contract reviews, negotiations, and commercial risk identification
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all commercial and contractual documentation
- Provide leadership during project execution to ensure alignment with approved scope, budget, and schedule
- Serve as the licensed General Contractor of record when required, ensuring regulatory and code compliance
- Oversee site operations including safety, quality, scheduling, inspections, and permitting
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to contract terms and licensing requirements
- Assume responsibility for construction means and methods when acting in a General Contractor capacity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
- Active General Contractor’s License (state-specific; multi-state or transferable preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in commercial project leadership, proposals, or pre-construction activities
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from pre-contract through closeout
- Knowledge of construction contracts, risk management, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
