About the role
- Lead and manage site-based safety programs for commercial, industrial, and/or infrastructure construction projects
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and applicable state regulations
- Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans (SSSPs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
- Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and competency-based training
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to integrate safety into project execution
- Manage subcontractor safety performance, pre-qualification, and compliance
- Track and report leading and lagging indicators (TRIR, DART, near misses)
- Support emergency response planning and drills
- Participate in client and regulatory safety meetings and inspections
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction safety experience on active job sites
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards
- Experience managing multi-trade subcontractors
- Proven ability to influence field leadership and frontline workers
- Proficient in incident reporting systems and Microsoft Office
- OSHA 30 (Construction)
- Ability to walk active construction sites and climb ladders/scaffolding
- Travel up to 50–75% depending on project needs
