Provide overall direction and leadership for the Finance and Compliance functions within the Marketing and Communications (MAC) division
Work toward meeting the strategic priorities of the Business Unit by leading financial operations and ensuring compliance across the division
Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks
Develop processes and solutions to streamline operational requirements and policies
Oversee division-wide financial strategy, planning, reporting, and analysis
Monitor financial performance, identifying gaps in alignment and efficiency
Engage closely with the MAC Leadership Team, central Finance, and executive stakeholders to present financial insights
Direct and communicate complex administrative tasks related to finance, data, compliance, contract management, lobbying, regulatory filings, and standard operating procedures
Track key performance indicators
Represent the Business Unit in organization-wide initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 7 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience recruiting, supervising and developing staff.
Experience designing, implementing, and directing multiple complex projects.
Nine (9) years related experience or equivalent combination, including 3 years managing operations functions and experience working at a senior level;
Exceptional Financial/accounting acumen;
A successful track record generating financial reports and analyzing and interpreting data;
Consistent and increased levels of developing and administering complex departmental budgets;
Experience leading, developing, and managing multiple projects and strategic goals;
Management experience of a large multidisciplinary team, including planning and delivering budgetary responsibilities;
Experience working in a large, complex organization;
Relevant coursework, or other training in principles, practices, and procedures.
Comfort and maturity in handling confidential information.
Advanced understanding of best practices in non-profit management.
Experience managing a geographically dispersed team.
Contract management expertise.
Expert knowledge of current and evolving trends in finance.
Proficiency in working independently as well as jointly with colleagues on a team.
Account degree and CPA certification.
Non-profit GAAP accounting experience.
Experience providing support in HR processes.
Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated.
