About the role

  • Writing and editing a variety of communications materials to engage individual and institutional donors
  • Collaborating with fundraising, conservation program, and finance staff
  • Crafting letters of intent, fundraising proposals, and impact reports
  • Providing editorial advice and expertise on donor communications
  • Supporting donor communications and messaging needs of the Midwest Division's conservation leads

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination
  • Experience working across departments
  • Experience, coursework or other training in principles and practices of donor communications or related field, such as journalism or marketing communications
  • Experience writing or editing one of the following: newsletter, magazine, annual report, website articles/stories, donor profiles, funding proposals or reports, campaign brochures, fact sheets, presentations, or equivalent.
