About the role
- Develop and implement scaling strategies for agroforestry in the U.S.
- Manage a $55M USDA Advancing Markets for Producers grant.
- Oversee Farmer Incentive Payments program, agroforestry product label initiative, and federal compliance.
- Engage agricultural community across supply chain to advance agroforestry.
- Negotiate solutions with government agencies and private sector partners.
- Identify fundraising opportunities and cultivate partnerships.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in agronomy, natural resources management, conservation, business, or other related field of study and 7 years’ experience in agroforestry and/or other conservation practice or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fundraising experience, including identifying donor prospects and donor cultivation.
- Experience managing complex or multiple projects, including managing finances and coordinating the work of other professionals and partners.
- Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives, and managing performance.
- Experience in partnership development with non-profit partners, community groups, and/or government agencies.
- Experience presenting and communicating clearly via written, spoken, and graphical means.
