- The Motley Fool is a purpose-driven financial services company on a mission to make the world smarter, happier, and richer.
- Review, write, and publish hundreds of short articles each month with AI assistance.
- Navigate the CMS to review AI-generated article drafts assembled with salient details and figures.
- Perform quick fact checks to ensure factual accuracy.
- Write 150–300 words of Foolish context that guides readers how to contextualize news events.
- Edit AI-generated content for accuracy, clarity, and substance (beyond copyediting).
- Provide substantive feedback to improve AI prompts and outputs.
Requirements
- A solid understanding of financial concepts, terminology, and the global financial landscape.
- Strong grasp of Foolish investing principles and our brand voice.
- Experience in journalism, editing, or related fields, with news writing, AP style, and journalistic ethics.
- Proficiency in fact-checking methodologies and techniques to verify information, data, and sources.
- Strong research skills to gather information from various sources, databases, and financial reports.
- Familiarity with digital tools, fact-checking software, and content management systems (CMS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Understanding of LLMs and AI tools and familiarity reading and interpreting prompts.
- Must reside in the United States for consideration.
