About the role

  • Advise Utility Leaders on operational challenges, workforce capabilities, and opportunities to improve reliability and system performance.
  • Evaluate Current-State Operations by analyzing processes, roles, and decision-making frameworks to identify strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Shape Future-State Solutions by defining and refining business processes, operational standards, and readiness strategies aligned with industry best practices and emerging grid needs.
  • Support Training & Readiness by reviewing training content, validating simulations, and ensuring materials accurately reflect real-world operational practices.
  • Collaborate Across Teams with internal project teams and client SMEs to ensure operational insights inform project plans, assessments, and deliverables.
  • Build Long-Term Client Relationships as a trusted partner, helping utilities enhance their operations through practical, experience-backed recommendations.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in electric distribution, transmission, or utility control center operations
  • Ability to assess operational performance and provide practical, strategic recommendations
  • Knowledge of utility operational roles, workflows, and decision-making processes
  • Familiarity with SCADA/OMS/ADMS platforms (ABB, OSI, GE, Schneider Electric)
  • Experience supporting training, modeling, or simulation development is a plus (but not required as a primary focus)
