Director

• Co-lead (with program partners) JED’s efforts to develop and update technical assistance programs for schools and communities.
• Develop protocols and resources to support development and updates to JED’s core programs.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director, Knowledge & Review and other staff to stay informed of the best available evidence.
• Support, advise, and oversee staff within this vertical in developing or updating program design elements, evaluation frameworks, and measurement tools.
• Develop, implement, and oversee continuous quality feedback loops to support program implementation fidelity.
• Identify opportunities to use data to support equitable implementation of JED’s programs.
• Develop processes and lead efforts to improve data literacy at JED.
• Oversee and advise efforts to develop survey and assessment tools.
• Collaborate with JED’s partners at the Healthy Minds Study to leverage these data.
• Advise the teams’ scientists on best practices in survey and measurement design.
• Oversee day-to-day elements of JED’s Institutional Review Board approvals.
• Conduct and advise the development and design of research studies on the impact of JED’s programs.
• Collaborate across the Research and Evaluation team to advise staff on analyses using appropriate statistical methods.
• Lead and mentor a team of scientists.
• Support day-to-day oversight and decision-making related to Institutional Review Board protocols.

Senior Director, Implementation Science

Data Specialist

• Operationalize data collection instruments for research and evaluation-related surveys into scalable, accurate, consistent, and user-friendly tools via our Qualtrics platform.
• Implement and maintain user access to support data privacy and minimum required access to protect data integrity in collaboration with technology and product teams.
• Identify and implement solutions to translate hard copy surveys into Qualtrics software while preserving intended meaning, logic, and Institutional Review Board requirements.
• Build and maintain flexible Qualtrics libraries that support consistency in data collection across survey instruments while building processes that manage version control.
• Undertake robust quality assurance processes to ensure that surveys are accurately and consistently deployed to partners.
• Proactively manage and resolve bugs within the Qualtrics system, including responding to inquiries from partners across JED to address any identified issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues on the communications and product teams to ensure that all Qualtrics survey tools are accessible and ADA-compliant for all users.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to Qualtrics research and evaluation data infrastructure, including but not limited to library infrastructure, key decision-points, bugs that might affect data quality, and user access procedures.
• Conduct routine data management procedures to monitor the quality of JED’s data while identifying real-time and ongoing opportunities to improve data quality.
• Utilize Qualtrics and JED’s data warehouse infrastructure to develop routine reports for critical data elements and develop feedback loops with partners to improve data quality.
• Lead the day-to-day development and execution of data management best practices (e.g., data user and management documentation, survey version crosswalks and codebooks).
• Collaborate with Research and Evaluation team members to ensure identified coding practices are operationalized within the data, with routine quality checks.
• Conduct regular data quality audits and recommend quality improvement processes.
• Generate and execute regular data cleaning procedures in collaboration with the Senior Analytics Specialist.
• Identify opportunities across data sets to streamline data collection, including by reducing redundancies across systems, in collaboration with partners across JED.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant data protection regulations and ethical standards.
• Develop and enforce policies to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
• Stay updated on best practices in data collection and management.

Senior Data Management Specialist

Communications

• Support the development and execution of internal communications plans aligned with organizational priorities, including AFSP/JED integration milestones.
• Translate leadership decisions and priorities into clear, consistent messaging across internal channels and audiences (staff, volunteers, and chapter leaders).
• Maintain an internal communications calendar that coordinates messages across functions to avoid overlap or fatigue.
• Partner with the CEO, Chief of Staff, CFAO, and Head of HR to develop messaging, talking points, and organizational updates in a variety of formats (emails, slides, talking points, etc.)
• Support the development and delivery of messaging for all-staff meetings, town halls, and other leadership communications.
• Provide input on tone, clarity, timing, and channel for sensitive or high-impact internal communications, in close coordination with the SVP and relevant partners (CEO, Chief of Staff, CFAO, Head of HR).
• Develop and execute internal communications that reinforce culture, values, and employee engagement.
• Partner with the CEO, Chief of Staff, CFAO, and Head of HR on communications related to employee experience, change management, and organizational updates.
• Identify and develop internal storytelling opportunities that highlight staff, mission, impact, and organizational priorities.
• Manage internal communications channels (e.g., intranet, newsletters, Slack, email) and support effective, consistent use across the organization.
• Develop high-quality, accessible content for internal audiences, applying plain language and accessibility best practices.
• Ensure information is timely, accurate, and easy to understand.
• Support and execute internal communications for key organizational initiatives, changes, and milestones.
• Translate complex or evolving information into clear, digestible messaging tailored to different internal audiences.
• Partner with the CEO, Chief of Staff, CFAO, and Head of HR to support change communications, including AFSP/JED integration.
• Help managers and chapter leaders cascade information accurately to their teams and volunteers.
• Establish and monitor metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications (engagement, reach, clarity and comprehension).
• Incorporate employee feedback from staff, volunteers, and chapter leaders to refine communications over time.
• Build and improve internal communications practices and tools over time.
