About the role

Own the technical vision, strategy, and execution for the company and product inflection points
Lead, manage, mentor, and scale engineers and engineering managers; build a high-performing, inclusive culture
Define long-term architectural strategy aligning with business priorities and scale needs
Oversee system design, code quality, infrastructure, and technical operations; establish best practices
Remain technically engaged: review designs, dive into code when needed, act as credible technical authority
Collaborate closely with product, design, and business leadership to translate goals into technical roadmaps
Build organizational processes to enable efficient execution while balancing speed with quality
Anticipate growth needs and proactively design for them
Champion culture of trust, continuous learning, and innovation

8+ years of software engineering experience, with experience leading and scaling engineering teams at the senior management level
Demonstrated success owning technical strategy, organizational design, and large-scale system architecture
Deep expertise with modern development practices, infrastructure, and architectural patterns
Familiarity with our tech stack (Ruby on Rails, Python, React, PostgresQl)
Proven track record of attracting, mentoring, and retaining top engineering talent
Strong product mindset; ability to balance technical priorities with business goals
Excellent communication skills; able to build trust with executives and stakeholders
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive clarity across multiple priorities
Work Authorization Requirement: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
Bonus Qualifications: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes; Experience with data pipelines and warehousing
