About the role
- Design and extend the APIs and services that power the Caspar Health app for patients
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX, QA, Analytics, DevOps, and Architecture teams
- Refine and optimize development processes and contribute to best practices in code quality and test automation
- Work in a cross-functional Scrum team
- Ensure scalability, testability, and maintainability of deliverables
- Help shape how patients will use the app in the future
- Handle (sensitive) personal health data and protect personal data and rights of those affected
Requirements
- At least three years of experience working with backend technologies
- Expert-level experience using Ruby on Rails & TypeScript in production environments
- Interest in mobile client needs; ideally familiar with React Native
- Robust understanding of SQL and proficiency in PostgreSQL
- Proven track record working with AWS infrastructure
- Commitment to ensuring scalability, testability, and maintainability
- Proactive, hands-on mentality with passion for continuous learning and innovation
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Solid command of English, both written and verbal
- (Nice-to-have) Familiarity with AWS Cognito, Elemental MediaConvert and Lambda functions
- (Nice-to-have) Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes
- (Nice-to-have) Experience exploring and experimenting with AI-driven approaches
