About the role
- Supporting human resources organizational capability
- Supporting, driving, and implementing HR initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness
- Leading on-boarding activities for hourly and salaried workforce
- Supporting implementation of talent development and learning efforts to meet organizational needs
- Facilitating business performance by utilizing knowledge of the business and interrelationships to influence strategy and decision-making
- Contributing to human resource compliance efforts by ensuring guidelines and policies are consistent and enforced
- Overcoming obstacles to delivering quality HR services
- Educating others on available technology, shared services, HR services, and procedures to meet customer needs
- Supporting wage surveys
- Identifying opportunities and recommending changes to increase performance, reduce costs, and positively impact metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or graduate degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline preferred
- PHR or SHRM certification preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources required, with 1 year in a leadership capacity
- Competent in Labor/Employee Relations, Recruitment and Selection, Benefits and Compensation
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with others across levels and functions while working on multiple tasks in a matrix organization
- Working knowledge of state and federal laws along with practical application
- Experience in administering FMLA, affirmative action planning, workers' compensation management, and unemployment
- Ability to facilitate training/learning in large group presentations
- Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
