About the role
- Responsible for overall success of plant operations
- Plan, organize, and direct production and scheduling operations
- Initiate plans to minimize manufacturing costs
- Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules
- Implement manufacturing strategies
- Manage spending against budget
- Continually improve safety records
- Maintain and improve housekeeping
- Work in collaboration with teams on improvement projects
- Drive lean initiatives and advocate for a continuous improvement culture
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
- 5+ years’ experience in a food processing plant
- HACCP and/or PCQI certification preferred
- Experience in implementing and/or adhering to 3rd party audits and certifications (AIB, ISO, BRC, and SQF)
- OSHA certification or training
