About the role
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents for estimating.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and develop competitive proposals.
- Maintain cost databases and track market pricing trends in Florida.
- Oversee daily project operations, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams; manage change orders, RFIs, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and Florida building codes; monitor progress and provide regular updates.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in estimating and/or project management in construction.
- Solid knowledge of U.S. construction methods, Florida codes, and OSHA standards.
- Experience with estimating and project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Plan Swift, or similar).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and valid work documentation required.
