About the role

  • Partner with key stakeholders & business leaders to build a data & analytical capabilities roadmap that meets current business challenges and unlocks new opportunities.
  • Lead a small Business Intelligence team through the development and lifecycle management of BI tools and assets, delivering innovative and high-quality solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Lead resolution of complex data or analytical issues across the team, ensuring timely escalation and data integrity, while supporting junior team members in troubleshooting.
  • Facilitate and drive cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders, product owner, and development team to design, develop, deploy, and support AI & visual analytic tools.
  • Partner with IT, data, and other BI organizations as a thought leader to elevate enterprise-wide data and analytics capabilities.
  • Guide and empower team members through direct leadership, offering career coaching, development support, and clear direction to drive performance and growth.
  • Champion adherence to design and delivery standards, reinforcing best practices across the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Expert proficiency with multiple querying languages and database management systems.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools and delivering GenAI solutions within BI tools. (Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Power BI)
  • Expertise in statistical analysis and with statistical software to identify trends and patterns within datasets.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address intricate business challenges.
  • Outstanding communication skills to present data insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Exceptional precision in validating & interpreting complex datasets, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and reasonability within the business context.
  • Demonstrated ability to support strategic initiatives by conducting in-depth analyses, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning insights with team and organizational priorities.
  • Proven leadership skills to mentor and guide teams and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proactively stays current with emerging technologies, platforms, and methodologies.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities to integrate innovative tools across the team.
  • Prior experience leading and managing teams is a plus
  • P+C Insurance experience is a plus
