About the role

  • Handling a caseload of first party and third party Cyber and Technology claims
  • Conducting investigations and analyzing and evaluating the information learned
  • Analyzing and determining coverage, liability and damages based upon the facts of each claim
  • Investigate cyber security incidents and determine the cause of network intrusion
  • Communicating timely written position(s) to insured and other required parties
  • Setting appropriate expense and indemnity reserves
  • Developing and implementing resolution strategies through negotiations
  • Proactively managing litigation and counsel
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and delivering presentations to senior claim leadership
  • Providing support and working collaboratively with business partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years handling litigated coverage and/or liability cases as defense counsel or claims handler
  • Knowledge of both first- and third-party claims a plus
  • Excellent strategic thinking ability and execution skills
  • Excellent negotiation and advanced technical claim handling skills; knowledge of insurance coverage issues a plus
  • Superior time, task prioritization and desk management skills
  • An ability to communicate thoughts clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work with only moderate amount of supervision and employ a 'team player' attitude
