About the role

  • Provide effective leadership for the Direct Response Fundraising Team by being actively involved in strategy, execution, and performance across all direct response programs.
  • Develop and execute an integrated direct response strategy across digital and direct mail, aligned with organizational goals and campaigns.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to set revenue targets, budgets, and growth strategies.
  • Own and oversee Live Action’s direct mail program, including housefile mailings, acquisition, renewals, upgrades, and reactivation efforts.
  • Manage relationships with direct mail vendors, including list brokers, co-ops, printers, mail houses, copywriters, and data partners.
  • Collaborate with copywriters and designers to develop compelling, mission-driven direct mail packages and test creative, offers, formats, and timing.
  • Oversee mail planning, segmentation, testing, circulation strategy, and ROI analysis to maximize net revenue and donor lifetime value.
  • Ensure strong integration between direct mail and digital efforts, including coordinated messaging, multichannel follow-up, and attribution.
  • Oversee strategy and execution of emails and SMS for high-impact campaigns, including acquisition, cultivation, retention, and upgrade strategies.
  • Build and retain strong relationships with online donors through effective asks, stewardship, and cultivation journeys.
  • Oversee and execute the technical and operational needs supporting digital fundraising, including donation forms, landing pages, and integrations.
  • Ensure all fundraising websites and assets are updated, tested, and optimized for donor conversion.
  • Manage and oversee key digital and direct response vendors and contractors, ultimately owning their metrics, deliverables, and performance.
  • Ensure ongoing analysis, reporting, and data management across all direct response channels.
  • Use data to inform testing, optimization, and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Nonprofit experience is preferred.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in online/digital fundraising or marketing; minimum of 5 years of management experience a must; Master's or Professional Degree preferred.
  • Strong personal, organizational, program, and time management skills, keen attention to detail, research and writing skills, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong, energetic, empathetic individual of high integrity.
  • Strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and Live Action’s mission.
  • Goal and detail-oriented, with an entrepreneurial and innovative drive and spirit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and G Suite applications; ability to quickly learn new CRM’s; Hubspot experience a plus.
  • Ability to work with and understand diverse cultures, backgrounds, and traditions.
