Manager

• provide organization-level research administration services
• execute research administration, maintain excellent financial management skills, and effectively deliver award negotiations

Award Manager

Therapist

• Administer physical therapy treatment programs to include the planning, coordination, controlling, direction and evaluation of physical therapy activities for the research study
• Plan and develop physical therapy treatments, procedures, and programs
• Observe patient’s response to treatment and modifies the program to accelerate recovery
• Make recommendations on staffing, physical plant design, and distribution of physical therapy equipment
• Record all pertinent data in the patient’s medical records
• Determine and implement policies and procedures pertaining to physical therapy program and activities
• Determine requirements for physical therapy services including personnel, equipment, supplies, and continuing education
• Establish professional care standards and establish and appraise performance levels of subordinates as needed
• Develop and implement teaching programs and research activities related to physical therapy
• Conduct data acquisition, biomechanical data reduction and analysis

• Provide clinical support for subjects while being tested on perturbation protocol in the CAREN virtual reality environment and on the Active-Step treadmill
• Make recommendations regarding the use or adjustment of braces, prostheses, and other related appliances used to support and assist the mobility of the study subjects
• Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and infection control procedures, when applicable
• Participate in the hiring, training and supervision of other research personnel as applicable
• Maintain a collaborative research environment between the Principal Investigator (PI), other site personnel, research participants, The Geneva Foundation and the funding organization
• Oversee subject recruitment and enrollment, as needed
• Conduct research subject visits as directed

• Document all correspondence and communication pertinent to the research
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of all research records

• Maintain and update files of all applicable regulatory documentation for IACUC or IRB (including protocols, approvals, amendments, modifications, etc.) as well as any communications with the sponsor or any other Federal or regulatory office (including prior approvals, change in scope, etc.)

Research Physical Therapist

Clinical Research

• Oversee and administer research study and associated activities
• Assists in project planning, ensuring that established work scope, study protocol and regulatory requirements are followed
• Recruit and coordinate research subjects, as appropriate
• Serve as principle administration liaison for the project
• Oversee and coordinate the provision of administrative and staff services to investigators
• Develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures
• Promote safety and confidentiality of research participants at all times
• Adhere to OSHA, GCP, GLP, and infection control procedures
• Plan and coordinate the initiation of research study protocol, and the implementation of operating policies and procedures
• Plan, implement and maintain data collection and analysis systems in support of research protocol; may coordinate the collection and analysis of research data
• Document all correspondence and communication pertinent to the research
• Interact and communicate effectively with Principal Investigator, other site personnel, research participants, The Geneva Foundation, and the funding organization

Clinical Research Coordinator

Administration

• The Award Administrator is responsible for providing institutional-level support to sponsored programs administration services including creating and maintaining relationships with extramural sponsors
• Presenting information to all stakeholders on behalf of the Department of Programs (DoP)
• Directing negotiations and other efforts to timely resolution, and administrative problem-solving
• Serve as a liaison with the Department of Clinical Investigations (Research), Defense Health Agency, and Womack Army Medical Center
• Supporting operations at Fort Bragg and will be expected to work onsite at least two (2) days per week
• Review and assist with proposals for federal funding
• Review and negotiate grants and contracts on behalf of the Geneva Foundation
• Provide advice to both internal and external staff regarding critical and/or sensitive sponsored programs issues
• Establish projects internally by completing required study startup activities in collaboration with Department of Programs (DoP) and Finance
• Provide financial and budgetary oversight for projects with input from portfolio counterparts
• Draft CRADAs, NDAs and/or teaming agreements, as applicable
• Review and submit progress reports to sponsor ensuring accuracy and compliance with sponsor requirements
• Provide support of study closeout activities including sponsor disposition requirements and receipt of final award deliverables in collaboration with portfolio personnel
• Maintain and update files of applicable award documentation (including approvals, amendments, modifications, etc.) as well as any communications with the sponsor or any other Federal or regulatory office (including prior approvals, change in scope, etc.)
• Serve as a primary point of contact between the Geneva Foundation and its sponsors
• Ensure that all administrative requirements associated with the submission of applications, acceptance and conduct of awards, and issuance and monitoring of awards are met
• Draft and submit sponsor correspondence such as requests for prior approval and no-cost extensions

Award Administrator

• oversee and administer clinical research studies and associated activities
• assist with the development and management of study budgets
• assist with the review of protocol requirements and assist with the collection of impact statements needed to properly assign costs to each assessment/procedure
• provide feedback on the amount of time necessary for conduct staff to administer assessments and procedures as assigned during the budgeting process
• cooperate as necessary with the Geneva Corporate Manager to ensure that studies remain financially healthy, including but not limited to, the review of monthly budget reports as well as budget forecasts
• assist in project planning, and ensure that pre-established work scope, study protocol and regulatory requirements are followed
• recruit and coordinate research subjects, as appropriate, and serves as principal administrative liaison for the project
• oversee and coordinate the provision of administrative and staff services to investigators; develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures
• assist with the preparation of presentations for required review and approval processes, to include public affairs office review as applicable
