About the role
- Oversee and participate in the incident report intake process as described in this handbook, including escalation of serious reports and reports that trigger mandatory reporting obligations
- Write summary reports of intake interviews
- Provide interim measures including supportive and protective measures to the reporter and respondent, if needed
- Participate in consultation with the General Supervisor, Legal Counsel, and direct supervisor to determine if the Respondent should be placed on administrative leave (if the Respondent is an employee, contact HR Director)
- Determine if the incident report will be handled through the Informal Review Process or Formal Investigation and Adjudication Process, as outlined in the Foursquare handbook for responding to clergy misconduct
- Assemble a demographically appropriate Response Team for each case from among a trained pool of participants
- Send all required formal notifications to the reporter/claimant, respondent, and denominational overseers concerning incidents
- Establish with the assigned investigator the scope, plan, and timeline for the investigation
- Prepare the written notice of the decision/written decision notification with input from the Response Team members
- Coordinate the Appeals/Reconsideration process, if needed
- Prepare materials for each ethics case being reviewed
- Provide training to ethics review teams
- Coach on ethical-related matters
- Partner with EPL to train the national eldering team on how to handle leadership abuse cases
- Monitor and respond to mystory@foursquare.org mailbox submissions
- Track cases until mediation are completed
- Required to participate in various internal trainings
- Other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisory team leader
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent level of experience, training and education
- 5+ years of pastoral leadership experience with knowledge and understanding of governance structures
- Is a licensed Foursquare minister in good standing
- Experienced in trauma-aware communication and conflict navigation
- Professional counseling or therapy certifications preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, clear communicator
- Strong experience interacting effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Experience with using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) including collaboration applications (Teams, etc.)
- Bilingual: the ability to speak, listen, read, and write fluently in Spanish is helpful
