Engineer

• Serve as the primary technical resource for solid waste projects
• Oversee the development and quality control review of plans and specifications and serve as the engineer of record for municipal solid waste, ash monofill and demolition landfill waste facility construction projects

• Oversee the full project lifecycle for solid waste initiatives—including scope development, cost estimation, planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction, and closeout

• Drive Business Development: Leverage existing relationships to develop new business opportunities that align with Foth’s market approach.
• Lead Proposals and Presentations: Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations, showcasing your ability to understand client needs and market dynamics.
• Foster Long-Term Relationships: Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring satisfaction with our services and fostering loyalty.
• Strategic Selling: Develop and implement strategies to address client risks, execution concerns, and stakeholder issues, positioning Foth as a long-term trusted partner.
• Ensure Project Success: Collaborate with Foth Project Managers and clients to ensure successful project outcomes from initiation to completion.
• Stay Informed: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing and proposed legislation related to public and private solid waste facilities; and sustainability practices such as Extended Producer Responsibility, Sustainable Materials Management, Circular Economies, Waste Diversion and Zero Waste.
• Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning, development, deployment, and growth initiatives to align with Foth’s market strategy.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical knowledge and project management expertise, supporting successful project execution.
• Mentor and Coach: Guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Business Development Manager – Solid Waste Solutions

• Develop process‑mechanical engineering deliverables from concept through construction
• Create equipment specifications and process documentation
• Develop and review Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Produce and maintain equipment lists, line lists, and point‑of‑connection (POC) lists
• Prepare operating specifications and installation scope documents
• Collaborate with designers to produce accurate drawings and project deliverables
• Present technical reviews and recommendations to clients

• Own full cycle recruiting through intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interview orchestration, offers, and onboarding hand-offs
• Source hard-to-find talent utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networks, job boards, professional associations, artificial intelligence, etc.; build proactive pipelines for priority disciplines
• Champion candidate experience through timely communication, clear expectations, and brand aligned touchpoints
• Collaborate with hiring managers to advise on sourcing and interview plans, hiring selection and competitive and attractive offer proposals
• Serve as an extension of the business unit you are supporting as you attend team meetings, events, trade shows, etc.
• Partner with marketing to amplify our employer brand (social campaigns, targeted ads, career site content, etc.)
• Promote Foth at career fairs and other networking events and travel as appropriate to support these events
• Identify and maintain staffing partner relationships when applicable; ensuring quality and culture fit for candidates submitted
• Ensure compliance and diversity with all applicable employment laws and regulations. Promote inclusion in the hiring process and actively seek a diverse candidate pool
• Train and educate Foth team members on interviewing best practices
• Drive continuous improvement seeking ways to improve the recruitment process, such as implementing new tools or strategies
