About the role
- Drive new digital revenue by identifying, engaging, and closing major accounts for local stations
- Collaborate with Directors of Sales and other sales managers to achieve assigned revenue objectives across multiple markets
- Focus on monthly, quarterly, and annual digital sales goals, with a sole emphasis on new business growth
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans that leverage Scripps' diverse product offerings, audience insights, and emerging market trends
- Serve as the subject matter expert for digital products, new business strategies, and industry best practices
- Establish processes for working with local sales teams to manage new business pipeline for Scripps digital products
- Interpret market research and advertiser data to create compelling proposals and presentations
- Deliver flawless campaign execution and maintain strong advertiser relationships to ensure retention and upsell opportunities
- Provide market intelligence on competitive activity and recommend strategies to increase market share
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
- Generally, 10+ years of experience in related field preferred
- Up to 50% travel - Regular travel to station markets for business development, training, and client engagement
