About the role

  • Evaluate the performance of existing consumer finance programs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance the effectiveness and competitiveness of the retail value proposition, ensuring they align with our guests’ needs and market trends.
  • Conduct a regular cadence of meetings with the Company’s Finance providers.
  • Monitor competitor offerings and new innovative vendor products in the marketplace.
  • Collaborate with others to evolve sales processes, optimize advertising, and forecast outcomes of pricing and promotions.
  • Recommend improvements to sales tools, customer handouts, in-store signage, advertising, and other operational components that could improve the Company’s performance.
  • Provide training and support to the sales teams on consumer financing programs, ensuring they are equipped to effectively communicate the financing options to our guests.
  • Act as project manager on consumer financing and pricing initiatives to ensure their effective and efficient implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and internal policies governing consumer lending activities.
  • Implement processes and controls to mitigate compliance risk.
  • Demonstrate the Company’s values in all aspects of their work performance.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business/Commerce considered an asset.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 4+ years of experience as an accounting or finance professional.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in consumer lending.
  • Experience utilizing AI methodologies, conducting pricing analysis, and developing pricing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
