About the role
- Lead and support packaging engineering projects across various packaging material categories
- Conduct packaging material evaluations, testing, qualifications, and documentation
- Identify and resolve packaging-related issues in manufacturing environments
- Ensure packaging systems meet safety, regulatory, and quality requirements
- Provide technical support during line trials, validations, and material changes
- Develop project scopes, timelines, and deliverables
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams, suppliers, quality groups, and procurement
- Manage multi-site project activities and ensure consistent implementation
- Maintain accurate records, test results, and project status updates
- Assess existing packaging solutions for opportunities to improve performance or reduce cost
- Review new materials and technologies relevant to operational needs
- Recommend improvements to packaging processes and specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering
- 7+ years of professional experience in innovation and creative work
- Experience working with packaging development for beverage applications
- Experience working with a range of process technologies
- Experience commercializing a new technology
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
