About the role

  • Provides strategic leadership and direction for Home Infusion Nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement in infusion nursing services.
  • Leads change management initiatives and supports the development of policies, procedures, and training programs for home infusion nurses.
  • Oversee all aspects of home infusion nursing operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for nurses providing care in patients’ homes, schools, workplaces, and other community settings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, quality indicators, and financial outcomes; implement improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate with IT, Clinical Program Development, Nurse Practice, Compliance, and Pharmacy Operations to support nursing activities and technology enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with nursing staff, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and evaluate nursing staff; identify and address staff development needs.
  • Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based nursing care for complex therapies and specialty medications.
  • Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and workforce management for infusion nursing operations.
  • Represent infusion nursing in cross-functional meetings, projects, and organizational initiatives.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unrestricted license; MSN or related advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role in field, home health, or community-based nursing operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in infusion nursing.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive operational improvements.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, resource management, and performance evaluation.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Proficiency with clinical systems, technology, and data analysis.
  • Certification in Nursing Leadership or Management preferred.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and professional development.
