About the role
- Build, maintain, and enhance relationships with payors before, during, and after contract execution
- Lead negotiations for new and renewal contracts to secure competitive reimbursement and strategic value
- Ensure all agreements comply with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies
- Collaborate with operations, billing, clinical, and marketing teams to align payor strategies with broader business goals
- Provide leadership and support to direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
- Oversee credentialing and provider enrollment processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Support organizational initiatives by participating in cross-functional projects and other responsibilities assigned by leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payor relations, contract management, or related healthcare functions
- Proven success negotiating and managing complex payor contracts with regional or national plans
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading teams or supervising staff
