Customer Success Manager

• Act as the primary point of contact for inbound licensing inquiries from French-speaking clients via email, phone, and online platforms.
• Guide clients through the full licensing process—including content discovery, pricing, contract negotiation, and usage rights.
• Proactively conduct outbound sales to promote CP’s content archive to prospective and existing French-speaking clients.
• Manage, nurture, and grow licensing relationships with clients in French-speaking markets.
• Promote and sell usage rights for CP’s copyrighted content as well as approved third-party materials.
• Deliver bilingual (French/English) customer service and technical support related to content licensing and usage.
• Support clients in navigating CP’s digital platforms for content discovery, access, and downloads.
• Communicate effectively to understand client needs and deliver tailored licensing solutions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of CP’s client portfolio and the platforms they are licensed to use.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure smooth client onboarding and ongoing satisfaction.
• Stay up to date on copyright laws, licensing best practices, and usage guidelines (training provided as needed).

Journalist

• Lead the production of news videos from the idea phase to publication.
• Work to source, acquire, validate and produce user generated content around daily news and events that meet CP’s editorial standards.
• Find trending/viral stories that can be turned into CP content.
• Monitor press conferences, suggest clips/quotes for video and provide timecode/direction for video editors.
• Review video material gathered by Canadian Press staff and identify key quotes/timecodes/footage.
• Write/edit video caption metadata information.
• Review produced videos created by Canadian Press staff and oversee edits.
• Effectively follow news tips and generate story ideas.
• Create text and audio content, when required.

Reporter – Editor

• Write, edit and gather content for CP’s various services, including print, audio and video
• Come up with new and creative ways to tell stories on all platforms
• Generate original story ideas, projects and exclusives
• Find and report stories of provincial and national interest
• Work creatively and concisely under tight deadline pressure
• Work independently but also pitch in to help the team when needed
• Edit and improve colleagues’ work
• Occasional shift work may be required, including evenings and weekends
• Occasional travel
