Key responsibilities & impact

Write hourly NewsWatches using CP Style
Write and record newscasts every hour, meeting strict deadlines
Craft and record voicers, voice-overs and wraps
Produce audio from press conferences and breaking news events
Edit and review audio filed by reporters and send to clients
Select and distribute audio clips from ABC and The Associated Press
Source raw production audio and video related to stories

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in audio editing, including Audacity and Burli
Radio and/or digital news experience required
Comfortable on camera
Experience with content management systems used in broadcasting, such as Burli
Three to five years' experience in a daily newsroom, including conducting interviews and writing radio copy
Comfortable communicating both in person and online
