About the role

  • Analyse, design, and support solutions across the Energy Trading & Risk Management landscape
  • Collaborate closely with the Implementation Team to understand customer needs and new feature requests
  • Translate high‑level requirements into well‑structured functional specifications, process maps, and user stories
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and backlog refinement using Agile methodologies
  • Work with Engineering to ensure functional requirements are well understood, feasible, and aligned with architectural guidelines
  • Support Engineering in solution scoping, prototyping, and estimation activities
  • Contribute to solution design ensuring alignment with business workflows, ETRM best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve product usability, workflows, and overall customer experience.
  • Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance on analysis techniques, product knowledge, and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

  • Significant experience with Energy Trading & Risk Management platforms (e.g. Endur, Allegro, Aspect, RightAngle, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end commodity trading lifecycle processes
  • Knowledge of risk management concepts such as VaR, Greeks, mark‑to‑market, and exposure reporting
  • Familiarity with energy market regulations (REMIT, EMIR, Dodd‑Frank, etc.)
  • Understanding of REST APIs, interfaces, and ETRM integration patterns
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and user story best practices
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data structures, including working with SQL outputs.
