Producer

• Manage The Athletic’s Creative Studios business and lead production on commercially supported video projects.
• Pre-production collaboration with the digital newsroom.
• Work with Strategy & Operations team to respond to RFPs, including pitching original video concepts.
• Book and manage freelance production specialists, including field crews, video editors and post-production.
• Manage production budgets, ensuring projects remain on-time and on-budget.
• Review edits of commercially supported video content and ensure adherence to The Athletic’s style guides and editorial standards.
• Field production and some light video editing may be required.
• Oversee and guide video editors and work with leaders from the newsroom to amplify The Athletic’s content.

People Operations

• Serve as a business partner to the Headquarters team, acting as a liaison between your employee population, senior leadership, and the People Team.
• Advocate on behalf of the Headquarters staff to ensure your people have the tools, resources, and support they and the business need to be successful.
• Serve as a key stakeholder to help build, iterate, implement and facilitate core People programs (performance reviews, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, training, etc.).
• Develop and maintain meaningful, high-touch relationships across the Headquarters management team.
• Understand our business model and goals, partner with Headquarters management to drive business priorities forward.
• Approach people matters with a compliance-driven mindset, sound judgment, discretion, empathy and confidentiality.
• Manage employee relations cases and investigations including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee concerns.
• Perform an array of HR generalist and administrative tasks to ensure data integrity across all systems, reports, and programs.
• Partner with Headquarters management and Talent team to drive workforce planning and internal mobility efforts.
• Operate as a change agent, rolling out new programs through strong communications, trainings, and management partnership.

• About The Athletic, a sports media company with 500+ full-time staff and 47 North American markets.
• Designer to join the commercial design team to deliver branded content and interactive experiences on site and app.
• You will help execute experiences and see them through to final delivery.
• 100% remote for candidates currently residing in the United States or Canada.
• This is a contract to cover for a team member on leave and will end on 2/7/2026.

Account Manager

• The Athletic is seeking an experienced account manager to assist with our internal and external sales efforts.
• Reporting to the Head of Brand Partnerships you will be a key member of these efforts.
• In this role you will be an internal and external collaborator across the pre and post sale process while assisting The Athletic’s sales teams drive revenue.
• This is a 100% remote for candidates in and around the New York City Metro area.
