About the role
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of infrastructure and platform engineers supporting global environments.
- Own and execute hybrid infrastructure strategy across on-prem (VMware) and AWS cloud platforms.
- Drive automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform or similar tools.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance for production environments operating 24x7x365.
- Oversee capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Partner with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to align platform capabilities with delivery and reliability goals.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, and performance tuning across the infrastructure stack.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies to improve operational efficiency and resilience.
Requirements
- 10+ years in Infrastructure Engineering, including 3+ years in leadership/management roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, EKS, and S3.
- Deep knowledge of on-prem infrastructure, including VMware, compute, and storage platforms.
- Proven experience with IaC tooling such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of high-availability, distributed systems, and large-scale operational support.
- Experience supporting large, global environments with production-grade reliability expectations.
