About the role
- Liaise with multiple Teams and Departments to support projects from Feasibility Stage through execution of the EPCA
- Attend project Kick-Off meetings and record/report on project tracking tools
- Review project information to understand project needs, risks and timelines and communicate mitigation strategies
- Participate in permitting and interconnection discussions to support design development and schedule assumptions
- Coordinate with Estimators, Development, Execution, Procurement, and Construction teams to establish deliverables and RFPs
- Prepare, deploy, and analyze EPC RFP bid packages using ProCore; facilitate RFI feedback from Engineering and Construction teams
- Analyze EPC bid responses, produce Bid Summary Reports, and make formal selection recommendations
- Manage EPC contract negotiations, CAPEX cost reviews, and cost reconciliations; collaborate with Estimating for CAPEX accuracy
- Support project construction cost estimate messaging and maintain financial capex inputs for Business Development, Construction, and Finance teams
- Manage EPC Target Price process and domestic content/PWA needs
- Develop preliminary project schedules including key design, utility, permitting milestones, and EPC construction timelines to meet COD
- Build and maintain relationships with external EPC contractors and support compliant bid responses and contract alignment with RFPs
Requirements
- 4+ years professional experience in a Renewables Project Management role
- Excellent understanding of project cycle from feasibility, thru permitting, entitlements, design and utility processes, executing with EPC contract negotiations
- Strong familiarity with photovoltaic solar and energy storage components and associated technical standards
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Primavera P6, ProCore, Quickbase, and Microsoft Project
- Proficiency with PowerPoint and BlueBeam
- Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to maintain calm and effective exchanges during stressful situations
- Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project plans and reporting
- Ability to support M&A due diligence and prepare red-flag memos
- Familiarity with Utility Interconnection process and HV elements of projects
