Backend Engineer

• Design and implement large-scale, highly available backend systems that serve thousands to millions of concurrent players and aim for zero downtime.
• Embrace modern container and cluster management technology to make our backend stack more elastic and robust.
• Improve and maintain an agile and reliable development environment for the backend stack, so that people with different skillsets in the company can do social experiments easily, and new hires can ramp up quickly.
• Monitor the backend health and respond to any failures or glitches to deliver a smooth online experience to players worldwide; keep improving dev-ops tools to make the job more automatic and error-proof.

Security Engineer

• Design and implement robust security architectures for game clients, servers, and live services to protect against cheating, hacking, and unauthorized access.
• Lead investigations into security incidents, reverse-engineer exploits, and deploy mitigation strategies to safeguard player experiences.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across game engines, backend systems, and third-party integrations.
• Collaborate with game developers to integrate anti-cheat solutions, secure network protocols, and encryption mechanisms into core gameplay systems.
• Develop anti-cheat and anti-fraud tools and automation frameworks to detect, analyze, and respond to threats in real-time.
• Monitor cheaters and cheat communities to track threats and trends.
• Mentor engineering and QA teams on secure coding practices, threat modeling, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Stay ahead of emerging threats in the gaming industry by researching new attack vectors and evolving defense tactics.
• Partner with compliance teams to ensure adherence to global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry security standards.

Senior Game Security Engineer

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Build and scale FP&A capabilities; central responsibility for corporate-level planning and cross-functional business partnering.
• Lead company-wide budgeting & forecasting, consolidating budgets and forecasts across all departments.
• Develop and deliver monthly financial reporting packages, including P&L, cash flow, and key business KPIs.
• Analyze data from data warehouses and business systems to surface trends and drive data-driven forecasting.
• Support multi-year financial modeling and scenario analysis for strategic planning and board-level presentations.
• Partner with department heads (Product, Engineering, Publishing, G&A/Ops) to provide financial insights and track performance vs. budget.
• Improve forecasting accuracy and financial processes leveraging FP&A tool (Abacum), ERP (NetSuite), and data infrastructure.
• Provide financial analysis for new initiatives, partnerships, and international operations, including sensitivity analysis and ROI modeling.
• Prepare presentations for executive leadership and investors; work closely with the VP of Finance and Director of Finance.
