Game Engineer

• Own gameplay AI systems and related engineering tasking and development.
• Directly manage a team of AI engineers, including career management, growth, and mentorship.
• Architect, implement, and maintain production quality C/C++ for AI systems, behaviors, tools, and workflows.
• Give technical leadership and counsel, ranging from short-term AI problem solving to long-term AI roadmap planning.
• Provide the production team with guidance for scheduling, while identifying and reducing risks across AI feature development.
• Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to provide holistic solutions with an emphasis on delivering exceptional gameplay experiences.
• Build and foster a highly collaborative, transparent culture that is safe and values innovation, diversity, and work-life balance.
• Drive innovation in AI character behaviors, ensuring NPCs feel believable and contribute meaningfully to gameplay and storytelling.
• Analyze different approaches to solve AI problems and discuss the tradeoffs between them.
• Write and maintain relevant documentation.

Lead Gameplay AI Engineer

• Update and manage the plans, schedules and related task tracking database across key features, departments and/or milestone deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with production and development department leadership to drive decision making that achieves both the project goals and company values.
• Monitor the team and project health and communicate risks to leadership.
• Connect departments and eliminate roadblocks to ensure the team is flowing efficiently through their work.
• Solicit needs from departments and align them to set project requirements. Take those requirements and turn them into project plans. Work with the team to execute those plans.
• Assemble productivity data from the production tracking system and use that data create production reports that steer the production forward.
• Drive team towards clarity when ambiguity exists on a new deliverable type or department innovation.
• Suggest improvements to the production process and assist in seeing them through.

Producer, Gameplay – Project Hire

• Create and implement detailed animations for player driven combat actions as well as AI, utilizing motion capture data and cutting-edge motion matching technology to ensure realistic and fluid performance.
• Collaborate closely with key departments including Design, Engineering, Tech Art, and Motion Capture
• Be proactive troubleshooting animation workflows, rigging and pipeline issues
• Assist in establishing standard methodologies in animation
• Participate in motion capture shoots when needed
