Territory Sales Manager

• Lead the negotiation, drafting, review, and management of complex contracts, including government contracts, commercial contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, MOUs, and licensing agreements.
• Provide advice on contract terms, compliance with AMS, FAR, DFARS, and other relevant federal acquisition regulations and aviation-specific regulations.
• Work closely with the bids and proposals cycle, including drafting and negotiation of terms and conditions to ensure protection of company interests and the preservation of project profitability.
• Monitor and advise on external customer and internal corporate compliance issues, audits, and investigations.
• Collaborate closely with business units, program management, finance, trade compliance, risk management, and external counsel to support contract execution and contract management.
• Participate in the preparation of bids and proposals packages following internal processes, from bid-no-bid decision to contract implementation and management.
• Manage contract lifecycle processes, including amendments, renewals, claims, dispute resolution, and contract closeout.
• Support internal training and development on contract best practices and regulatory updates.
• Stay current with legal developments and trends impacting government contracting and aviation industry regulations.
• Represent the company in negotiations, meetings, and potential disputes with customers and contractors.
• Develop and implement contract management policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.

Contracts Manager

Compliance

• Day to day responsibility for managing internal stakeholders within the Domain(s)/BGU(s) that the TC Team is responsible for
• Advise the relevant key stakeholders on the trade compliance requirements for imports and exports
• Contribute as a key user to the implementation of the local Trade Compliance policies, processes & tools
• Support awareness and training sessions
• Review or create and where necessary approve, all trade compliance documentation/requests e.g: CECCs, ICECCs, End User Statements, DSP5s and other supplier licenses, TAAs, MLAs Sales Order/Contracts and Purchase Orders/Subcontracts/Purchase Agreements, Commercial Invoices, Instructions for Freight Forwarders/ Customs Brokers, MSS Data Report, to establish trade compliance requirements and to ensure all relevant information has been included
• Apply for UK export approvals, ensuring that End User Statements, F680 approval etc. are in place
• Apply for US EAR licenses, using SNAP-R and liaise with Thales US to apply for appropriate DDTC approvals
• Liaise with Thales internal functions to ensure US export legislation is implemented correctly, including guidance for Technology Control Plans, US export approvals, re-transfer authorisations etc.
• Undertake appropriate checks for ITAR material (US suppliers) and DSP’s
• Manage the return of any temporary imports to meet international customs & licensing requirements
• Manage customs authorisations and renewals
• Secure export controls with record keeping and reporting

Trade Compliance Officer

• Lead configuration planning and maintain CM plans, baselines and documentation across the project lifecycle.
• Manage configuration change control, including CCB coordination, traceability and approvals.
• Ensure product definition accuracy, including Bills of Materials and “as built / as installed / as tested” records.
• Conduct configuration audits and verifications (PCA/FCA) and assess supplier/contractor CM compliance.
• Maintain PLM data integrity, ensuring correct registration, release and lifecycle traceability of all configuration items.

• Lead and mentor a team of Project Engineers, establishing priorities, performance expectations, and development plans while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and HR processes.
• Direct cross-functional, multi-disciplinary engineering teams in the development and deployment of aircraft entertainment and connectivity solutions, providing both technical and programmatic leadership critical to project success.
• Own end-to-end project execution, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget, and technical performance, including development of execution plans, schedules, and financial oversight of engineering activities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met, risks are managed, and projects remain aligned with system constraints, design authority, and program objectives.
• Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement through KPI tracking, root-cause analysis, technical reviews, and active participation in design, validation, and acceptance milestones (PDR, CDR, DDQ, certification, and final acceptance).
• Manage resource planning and program commitments by identifying staffing needs, assigning appropriate skill sets, serving as Work Package Manager, and ensuring accountability for engineering deliverables across bids, projects, and product programs.
