About the role
- Your work as a virtualization engineer is varied. Every day you start together with the team to discuss ongoing tasks during the stand-up and how to align them with each other.
- Both within the department as well as the team we work closely together, embracing agile working methods.
- Throughout the week you focus on the committed items that you work on together with your team, but you also have weeks where you focus on operations: then you run daily checks, work on incidents and address ad-hoc requests.
- Your work focuses on the maintenance and further development of our IT Infrastructure.
- Preferably you have gained experience in Enterprise environments where security and standardization are also very important.
- You understand what is expected of an IT engineer regarding virtualization, storage, and IT automation.
- You are responsible for: contributing to, and ensuring that, the vision and strategy for the products within your domain are aligned with the IS/IT department strategy. Translating business demand to tailored IS/IT solutions according to the expectations of the stakeholders. Collaboration with other squads and departments to optimize results.
Requirements
- (Technical) bachelor or master degree
- At least 5 years relevant working experience especially in a dynamic environment
- Experience in leading infrastructural projects
- Experience within a complex enterprise IT environment
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with agile working or is open-minded in adopting new ways of working
- A strong will to continue to develop yourself, both on a personal and technical level
- Fluency in English
